Designer - MAS Intimates Ratmalana

Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS as we are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to join MAS Intimates as a Designer (Executive Grade). This role enables you to work closely with Senior Designers to research and analyze the latest styles, trends, and seasonal concepts in the fashion industry, and to develop conceptual design ideas that can be transformed into commercially viable products. These products should address consumer needs or problems while remaining trend-right, brand-relevant, and technically feasible to meet customer requirements for aesthetics, design intent, and fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Senior Designers to analyze market conditions, competitive landscapes, and product trends, recommending new concepts aligned with customer and consumer needs (e.g., raw materials, silhouettes, prints, graphics, embellishments).
• Create brand-right designs, technical drawings, and tech packs while working with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility, timely sampling, and alignment with seasonal timelines. Support in compiling and presenting design/product capabilities and market intelligence to strengthen customer relationships.
• Demonstrate technical understanding of fabrics, lace, elastic, trims, and accessories. Collaborate with sourcing and fabric teams to trial materials, assess manufacturing feasibility (cutting, bonding, moulding, printing, etc.), and ensure raw material performance for sampling and bulk production.
• Partner with internal stakeholders (IE, pattern making, consumption teams) to determine efficient garment construction methods while maintaining aesthetics, fit, and cost. Actively participate in fit reviews, track benchmark fits, and resolve design/fit/material issues to meet brand requirements.
• Develop and apply skills in tools such as Browzwear, Clo 3D, and Beyond XR to create virtual product simulations and enhance stakeholder/customer engagement.
• Follow up on garment development to ensure timely, high-quality samples. Record and communicate fit comments systematically, provide feedback to pattern makers, and coordinate with technical teams during fit sessions.
• Support Design Leads during customer meetings by contributing ideas, identifying innovative solutions, and preparing supporting materials such as props, storyboards, and presentations.
• Maintain and update all design documentation (style files, project plans, T&As, briefs, tech packs, design illustrations) to ensure accuracy and clear communication throughout the product development cycle.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of apparel design experience (industry exposure highly advantageous).
• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint, and PLM; ability to hand sketch is an advantage.
• Familiarity with 3D product creation platforms.
• Strong technical knowledge of product construction, silhouettes, fit, and fabrics.
• Collaborative, with strong research, analytical, presentation, and communication skills to engage stakeholders & customers effectively.
