Responsibilities
Planning production in fabric and glove knitting sections to make sure goods are delivered to customers in right quantity at right time complying with quality standards.
Efficient utilization of resources to make sure the cost of goods produced are within the budgeted numbers.
Actively contribute to achieve S3 saving targets set.
Maintaining accurate records related to output, labour utilization and loss times and take corrective actions by analysing those data.
Maintain EHS standards in all cut and sewn sections and make sure all employees in the section comply with EHS standards.
Actively participate and contribute to lean initiatives and KAIZAN activities in the section.
Make sure all employees comply with company code of conduct and maintain discipline in the department
Develop and maintain high level of employee engagement.
Develop a close relationship with employees and make sure all employees are treated fair and equitable manner
Actively get involve in grievance handling process and liaise with HR department to resolve employee grievances.
Maintain employee absenteeism and turnover within standards.
Compliance with EHS standards
Maintain compliance with all internal and external EHS rules, regulations and other Risk Management requirements.
Actively use the safety calendar (or contribute to the activities prescribed in the supervisor’s/manager’s calendar) as an accountability tool to measure safety performance and to promote the development of an EHS culture.
Follow the requirements of the 5-point safety charter
Qualification, Knowledge and experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science Related Field.
- Must have a thorough knowledge in industrial engineering and people management
- Exposure to lean six sigma principals.
- 5+ years of manufacturing & operations experience, 2+ years of which are in a leadership capacity required.
- Good communicator with sound problem solving and statistical skills.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
- Good at respectfully challenging paradigms and being a change agent.
- Fluent in English and willing to travel.
