Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a TELCO /ISP/ Broadband service
- CCNP certified or equivalent level of knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with networking products including Cisco and Juniper
- Sound understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering and firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP,OSPF, EIGRP); Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet (STP, RSTP,.1qVLANs, QinQ)
- Good working knowledge of BRAS / LNS / L2TP / DSL
- Troubleshoot and support layer 2 and layer 3 protocols (eg: Spanning tree, Vlans, BGP, MPLS)
- A strong understanding of fixed wireless networks would be advantageous
- Network design, documentation, and implementation
- Configuration and usage of network monitoring tools (eg: Traverse, OpenNMS, Cacti, etc)
