Scope
The Merchandiser – Procurement is responsible for optimizing the raw material usage by coordinating the procurement process end-to-end for the allocated RM category/customer account in the Business Unit, as applicable. Coordinating with the Accenture team, suppliers and internal stakeholders (e.g., PD, Bulk, Warehouse, Production, Finance) to achieve the procurement KPIs for the allocated RM category/customer is key to the role holder.
Responsibilities
- Procurement of fabric for the confirmed orders as well as T&A orders, and meeting the delivery schedules, quality specifications and process requirements
- Ensuring achievement of inventory and cost targets for the assigned category/customer account through optimal ordering, reduction of write-offs and other costs
- Liaising with suppliers and relevant internal stakeholders for achievement of OTD, OTT, inventory, process adherence and supplier performance objectives
- Preparing MIS, documentation and reporting for functional procurement activities, as per procedure
Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized university
- 1 - 3 years of experience in Sourcing/Merchandising function
- Sound knowledge of MS Office with an aptitude for MS Excel
- Good communication skills
- A team player that is committed to the task
- Ability to multi-task whilst handling pressure
