We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Software and Delivery Team in the role of Manager Cyber Security.

 

In this role, you will:

Provide Cybersecurity country leadership and governance to HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives entities.

 

Oversee projects, processes, and related activities within the responsible local domain in conjunction with the local, region and global Cybersecurity teams in order to comply with HSBC Information Security policies and standards and external regulatory requirements.

 

Support peers and senior management in Cybersecurity function to define and implement an industry-leading Cybersecurity service that supersedes constantly changing information security threats.

 

Ensure adherence to the three lines of defense organizational model with clear lines of responsibility, accountability and segregation of duties.

 

Ensure that Cybersecurity organizational changes are fit-for-purpose and meet the compliance expectations of internal audit and external regulators.

 

Contribute to the overall definition of responsibilities and accountabilities of Cybersecurity within HSBC and in the delivery of a Cybersecurity strategy to secure the bank's technology from the inside out, whilst maintaining, protecting and enhancing HSBC's values, reputation and stakeholder value.

 

Responsible for Cybersecurity first line of defense activities.

 

Support management to adopt & implement an effective Cybersecurity engagement model across Group Business/Group Functions/Regions with their respective teams.

 

Contribute to maintaining and sharing metrics and reports related to Cybersecurity.

 

Represent IT Security at country level for regulatory engagements, audits, activities and reporting.

 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Bachelor degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional qualifications in IT.

 

Minimum 5 years of experience in IT - Security, Risk, Governance, preferably in the Financial Services industry.

 

Background from one or more of the following domains - IT Risk management, IT Audit, Information Security.

 

Qualifications in ISO270001, CISA, CISM, CISSP or similar.

 

Availability to travel (if required) for this role, i.e. occasional travel within country as well as International travel.

 

Positive and professional attitude, team player, flexible and adaptable, open to change(s).

 

Confident and takes responsibility and ownership for work and personal development.

 

Good spoken and written communication and ability to adapt style based on audience (fluent in spoken / written English).

 

Ability to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical stakeholders.

 

Previous experience of delivering an excellent customer service.

 

Ability to quickly develop good working relationships with stakeholders.

 

Ability and self-motivation to learn and pick things up quickly.
