Scope
As the Manager - Business Analytics, you will be reporting to the General Manager – Business Transformation. You will be responsible for leading the Brandix Analytics CoE and supporting Brandix’s journey to become an analytics driven company by identifying business problems that can be solved using data and analytics. You will also be required to build relationships with business users and ensure that insights generated from analytics are meaningful and actionable, in order to influence business users to implement the recommended actions. The individual will also evaluate and quantify the benefits from the recommended actions and promote the use of analytics for decision-making across Brandix.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate business problems which can be solved with analytics solutions and prioritize projects based on business impact
- Spearhead implementation of analytics initiatives involving Data Scientists, business users, ICT professionals and external stakeholders
- Manage a team of analytics professionals within the Analytics CoE and provide guidance on the technology selection, statistical methodologies, and Data Science best practices
- Engage as a Data Scientist for selected projects
- Influence business users to evolve towards a data/insights driven decision making culture
- Evaluate improvements and finetune the analytic models/tools built previously to cater to the changing business dynamics
- Train key team members on usage of the built models
Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualifications in Statistics/Data Science/Computer Science from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or overseas, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in similar disciplines
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Analytics roles
- Exposure to apparel industry or domain experience in Supply Chain, Marketing and Operations will be an added advantage
