We are on the look out for a qualified individual to join MAS Capital - Group Legal team as a Legal Counsel - Intellectual Property (Executive work level). The Legal Counsel - Intellectual Property will be supporting the MAS Group’s strategic IP efforts worldwide and the incumbent will be reporting to the Senior Intellectual Property Counsel, the attorney will support the MAS Group’s IP pillar by ensuring that its IP portfolio is managed and relevant objectives are met, and contribute to patent and trademark filing, prosecution and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Aiding the Senior Intellectual Property Counsel in the drafting and the negotiation of IP related commercial agreements. (ex. Non-disclosure Agreements, License Agreements, Collaboration Agreements etc.).
Support Senior Intellectual Property Counsel in the prosecution and maintenance of MAS’ patents and trademarks.
Support in-house and external counsels on IP-related proceedings, challenges, disputes and litigation.
Aiding in the implementation MAS’s IP related groupwide initiatives. E.g. Policies, frameworks, etc.
Qualifications and Experience
Attorney at Law (holding a legal qualification in Intellectual Property).
Minimum 2 years' of work experience in the field of commercial Intellectual Property transactions.
Able to understand and support in patent applications and other intellectual property filings.
Skilled at integrating legal advice with business acumen and sound judgment.
Excellent writing, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to support fellow employees.
Self-directed and proactive, comfortable executing multiple projects independently and in collaboration with others.
