About the position
Persistent Systems is looking at well-rounded Lead Quality Engineers/Engineering Leads with 4+ years of industry experience in automation testing using Java and/or Selenium preferably in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in computer science/related field with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
What you’ll do
- Automating end to end integration tests
- Working with the team to understand all functional and nonfunctional requirements
- Document all test scenarios and keep them up to date
- Work with other engineers on a collaborative Agile POD to deliver software on an ongoing basis
- Maintain all coding best practices
- Perform functional and non-functional testing
- Performance test planning and execution
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in automated testing of Java based applications using Selenium
- Containerisation (Docker & Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of Java development environments and QA process
- Experience in automating end to end integration tests covering both UI’s and API’s
- Good understanding of SDLC, and Scrum/Agile methodologies
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
- Ability to work with Relational Databases: Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols
- Familiarity with JIRA, Linux and Scripting Languages would be an added advantage
