Junior Executive - Group Insurance

Job Responsibilities include;
- Maintenance of underwriting and claim files - Policies to be pre-checked on clauses and wording before issue. Maintain databases for policies, premiums and claims
- Maintenance of premium payment register - Premium to be settled within 60 days
- Diarizing and follow up of claims and bring to the supervisor’s notification of any delays/issues etc.
- Responsible of dispatching the policies/endorsements received to the relevant business units and Finance on time.
- Visiting the broker/insurer/BU to sort out claims, premiums and issues.
- Diarizing and follow up of medical inclusions and deletions.
- Checking the policy documents and endorsements for accuracy.
The ideal candidate should;
- Have passed GCE A/L examination.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance field.
- Knowledge of General Insurance, Life Insurance with a good working relationship with players in the industry.
- Sound knowledge in MS Office package especially in MS Excel and Word.
- Be assertive, influential and persuasive with good telephone etiquette.
- Effective communication skills both in Sinhala & English.
- Part qualification in Insurance exams would be a distinct advantage.
