Intern - Corporate Communications
John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) is Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate in the Colombo Stock Exchange. From managing hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives to providing port, marine fuel and logistics services to IT solutions, manufacturing of food and beverages to running a chain of supermarkets, tea broking to stock broking, life insurance and banking to real estate, we have made our presence felt in virtually every major sphere of the economy.
We are looking for an energetic school leaver or undergraduate, perusing studies part-time in fields related to marketing, public relations or advertising, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to be a part of the Corporate Communications team at JKH for a 3-month internship.
The responsibilities include;
- Assisting in coordinating with advertising and social media agencies and video production teams to ensure project/campaign deadlines are met
- Meeting and liaising with suppliers producing marketing and advertising material, to ensure timely delivery as per approved design and quality
- Assisting in planning, coordinating, and executing events, video shoots and ad campaigns
- Create and update plans and reports (on MS Word and Excel) to ensure deadlines are met and tasks/projects are duly completed.
While excellent verbal and writing communication skills in both Sinhala and Tamil is a prerequisite, proficiency in Tamil would be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and the ability to engage with ease and confidence with teams within JKH and external parties to efficiently complete the tasks assigned.
