Frontend Team Leader
BlackSwan Technologies is seeking a passionate and highly experienced professional to lead our rapidly growing Front end team in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate thrives on being a leader, and has outstanding programming skills.
This person will form task forces to prototype, develop, and deliver native cloud xaaS applications, providing strategic innovative and cost-effective solutions. The developer will have a crucial part in contributing to the roadmap of a scalable AI infrastructure with a web interface and will need to master a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies, working in a semi-autonomous environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical advisor for the team, mentor and advise them in code review
- Seek and learn new technologies in order to adopt them with the team
- Allocate resources and prioritise the tasks of the team members
- Work as a part of the team in hands-on development at least 50% of the time
- Design and develop quality, proficient and well documented technical solutions that satisfy business requirements and meets corporate architectural standards
- Develop solid unit and integration tests according to organizational standards
- Contribute to and drive technological and architectural decisions
- Adhere to agile development principles while following and improving all aspects of the scrum process
- Function as a subject matter expert in multiple product components
- Assist peer organizations with activities such as performance, scalability and reliability testing
- Applies usability procedures and principles as defined at a project or product-line levels or through customer input
- Contributes to and supports re-use through common components that are well documented and tested
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading a team of Frontend developers for at least 2 years
- Bachelors or Master’ degree in computer science, information systems, STEM or related
- 5+ years of development, including delivery of enterprise software
- 5+ years of experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular 6+, HTML5, CSS3, JSON
- Strong Knowledge of security principles
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Deep understanding of Microfrontend based architecture and popular middlewares
- Experience with Front end optimization (FEO)
- Experience with RESTfull API integration
- Knowledge of relational database concepts and experience using MySQL (or similar)
- Ability to learn quickly, and independently, in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
Will be an advantage
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and AWS, or other public clouds
- Solid knowledge of NoSQL technologies
- Experience with TypeScript, Ecma 6, module loaders, web socket
- Past experience with Financial Services
