CANDIDATE PROFILE & SKILLS
Bachelors degree in physics, mathematics, management and/or CIMA,CIM,SLIM
Age below 30
1-2 years'formal experience in a role dealing with suppliers, channel partners, customers
Having previous experience in retail or merchandising is a distinct advantage
Strong communication skills (Sinhala/English) with emphasis on interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Extensive knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft excel and other office packages
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Own and lead all activities ofthe assigned category(s) - end to end - You will be solely or jointly responsible for
assortment, performance, merchandising, pricing and the inventory
Analyze sales figures, customers' reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock.
Liaising with product/brand teams to develop new products/product ranges
Lead the season's and financial year budgeting/target setting from a category point of view
Responsibility ofSKU level/ product range level forecasting liaising with sales and marketing functions
Responsibility of inventory control and working with supply chain teams to send out right merchandise to right location
Collaborate with souring, suppliers, and finance to negotiate prices, quantities and lead-times.
Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc
