THE CHALLENGE
The selected candidate will be responsible for operational procurement process (Purchase Order Raising) and execute the selection of suppliers thru RFQ to ensure those services are delivered on time at the agreed commercial terms.
- Liaise with the user, and do a proper Request for Quotation (RFQ), evaluation & business award to select suppliers for their Jobs.
- Ensure the purchase orders are placed on time and accurately.
- Liaise with the project/plant teams & legal division to complete the agreement for projects/ services & make arrangement to sign them off without delay.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams and other external parties to meet the procurement requirements. (Finance, import/export division & the Bank for Bank guarantees, LCs, and IR)
- Make sure suppliers follow the required guidelines provided by the company. (Invoicing, bank guarantees, LCs, and other relevant documents).
- Coordinate with service providers/contractors on the quality issues/failures, and liaise with for rectifying damages/ warranty recovery.
- Maintain necessary tracking files for orders in POs, payments, dispatches, clearing, GRN, payments (advance, credit & non-credit payments)
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
- Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements
