The Role

  • To assist Country Head, Retail Banking (CHRB) Sri Lanka in coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance and operational risk management at the Business Unit level.
  • Provide efficient secretarial and general administrative support to Country Head, Retail Banking
  • Sri Lanka to ensure the smooth running of CHRB's day. To assist in liaising with the branch managers or any activity related to branch banking and to provide assistance to the Retail Top Team members where necessary

Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact for internal /external stakeholders of Country Head, Retail Banking (CHRB)
  • Diary Management for CHRB
  • Travel Management for CHRB (includes organising travel itineraries, booking of flights/hotels)
  • Coordinate travel itineraries, agendas and meetings for regional and group visitors
  • Organising events for Retail Banking - Town Halls, Top Team Meetings, CSR projects, any Retail Engagement projects etc.
  • As and when required, coordinate management reports for any Retail Banking Management Team meetings or any other meetings.
  • Preparation and management of communications, e-mails, Letters, Memos etc for CHRB
  • Assist CHRB on official correspondence when required
  • Coordinate meetings (Internal/External). Assist in preparation of material required for meetings, attend and take minutes when called upon to do so.
  • Handle client complaints that is received at CHRB office.
  • Preparation of claims for the reimbursement of business expenses in accordance with the bank policy
  • Process vendor invoices to be submitted to accounts payable on a timely manner
  • Maintain both electronic and paper-based filing system for CHRB's office
  • To Prepare and submit the branch banking related regulatory reports to CBSL
  • Delivering quality service to the benefit of all stakeholders (both externally and internally)
  • To ensure that there is prompt service support link between the branches and head office in delivering branch banking activities (Act as the main contact point for all branches)
  • To be the centralized communication link at head office in relation to branch banking activities
  • Collate the client list for Retail Banking when there is an event organised by the bank (Annual Golf event, RCGC Monthly medal Golf event, year-end client cocktail event etc.)
  • Maintain and update the call tree document
  • Fire Warden Retail Banking (3rd Floor) & Department Continuity Coordinator for Retail Banking Management & Support

The Ideal Candidate

  • Sound knowledge on banking products and services
  • Sound knowledge on CBSL guidelines on reporting requirements
  • Good numerical/interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Team-playing ability
  • Strong Computer Literacy
  • Good communication skills both written and oral and the ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Excellent organisation, administration and task co-ordination skills. Be able to coordinate with senior members of the bank and be able to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptability
  • Tactful and discreet, confidentiality a must
