Key Job Responsibilities:
- VMWare ESXi cluster management including SAN/NAS storage management
- AWS account management
- Growth forecasting, budgeting and planning
- Server backups and replications
- Disaster recovery planning and testing
- Security auditing of server infrastructure
- Management of monitoring software tools such as Cacti and Nagios to monitor all voice infrastructure
- Regular reporting to management of performance (uptime, capacity use, forecasting)
- Prepare documentation and training manuals as required
About you:
You will have experience in the following and a tertiary qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable;
- Certification in VMware and/or AWS
- Experience with AWS services: EC2, RDS, Cloudfront, Workspaces, S3, Storage Gateway, Control Tower, SSO, Directories, ECR, EFS, Lightsail and cost management.
- Advanced Networking (VLANs, Trunks, VMWare Distributed Switching) in a Cisco/VMWare environment
- Linux Server Administration (Debian)
- Network attached storage (NFS) administration
- Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Appropriate telecommunications qualifications or experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- To be a team player that is reliable, has a willingness to learn and take ownership of projects.
About the Role:
Based in Colombo, you will work closely with a team of friendly and committed staff across Australia who are genuinely interested in our customers, business success and the needs of others.
The focus of this position is to manage a number of servers that perform various roles across our network. Some servers are responsible for internal applications, and other servers are responsible for external customer hosted applications.
As System Administrator you will be responsible for the ongoing design, deployment, management, monitoring, growth forecasting and capacity expansion of all server infrastructure across the network.
