What you will do?
As a DevOps Engineer you will code and operate next generation highly scalable, highly reliable data solutions. In this role, you will need the ability to build compelling, client oriented solutions in an iterative methodology. You bring an innovative mind, a proven track record of delivering new client-facing software products, rigorous analytical skills, and a passion for leading teams to create market-leading software for savvy business clients and you are our fit.
- Develop, Administer and Maintain production applications deployed globally
- Perform validations on code, processes and deployments to identify ways to automate and streamline development activites
- Responsible for incident management, problem management, release management, configuratation management and other support activities.
- Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities
- Monitor health and performance of products and drive for continuous improvement.
- Work with product development and engineering team to manage products through entire lifecycle; planning, development, testing, implementation, support and maintenance.
- Source code management, build continuous integrations, continuous development and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD implementations
- Continuously improve, automate underlying infrastructure to be easy to deploy, scalable, secure and fault-tolerant, minimize wastage
- Work with a geographically dispersed team to ensure continuity of support and expertise
- Ensure enterprise demand management through proper planning, estimation, and sizing of infrastructure needs in a cloud based environment.
- Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs, generate operational reports and ensuring required service levels are met as per business needs
- Be responsible for cost management/optimization balanced with SLAs.
What skills and experience you will need?
- At least 4 years of experience building and managing large distributed systems – ideally in an agile environment
- At least 6 years of experience with leading edge technologies such as Java, Ruby, Python, Scala, AngularJS
- Experience in DevOps tools – Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, puppet, nagios
- Strong engineering and technology background with the ability to go deep into DevOps technology solutions
- Experience working with cloud based infrastructure in AWS or Azure or Google Cloud
- Demonstrated experience in managing operations and projects with multiple models of delivery (in-house, managed service, outsourced).
- Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
