This role is an integral part of the Education and Publication division that is responsible for key global data integration, delivery through BI tools, planning modelling, statistical tools, and data visualization solutions. The candidate will have a passion for managing agile teams in designing and delivering analytics applications and visualizations to ensure an optimal and intuitive user experience.
The Data Analyst will analyze use cases and requirements and creatively design and build analytics applications to cater to the use cases and audience. Coordinate agile teams to deliver solutions and applications that support business functions including Finance, Planning, Technology, Product Development, Sales, and Marketing, and deliver key insights for the businesses.
How you will make an impact:
- Monitoring economic, industrial, and corporate developments through analysis of information obtained from financial publications and services, trade publications, company sources.
- Design and build analytics applications based on the insights that need to be delivered to the business teams or customers. Customize and develop extensions or objects (i.e., D3) that can summarize and deliver the story in an impactful and actionable manner.
- Working with agile teams ensuring that they are delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner. Escalating and addressing risks and issues proactively.
- Requirements analysis and documentation
- Extensive use case and usability analysis
- Design and Support customer-facing analytics applications
- Develop additional technical skills and subject matter expertise within core functional groups. Learn and assimilate knowledge around business processes relatively quickly
- Contribute to inception and ideation of new efforts (prototyping, POCs, POVs, etc)
We are looking for people who:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, finance, or related fields
- Have 3+ years’ experience in financial data and analytics, web development and integration, and visual design
- Have extensive experience in working with BI and Analytics tools such as Power BI is mandatory
- Have 2+ years of working experience with Nodejs, Express, HTML and CSS, Java Scripting - Development and debugging
- Are highly experienced in building web applications that integrate data from multiple platforms or tools.
- Have 2+ years of experience in working with agile teams. Able to groom the backlog, work with the business in prioritizing the roadmap and sprint planning.
- Are able to work with the agile teams in delivering sprints on time and managing daily stand-ups
- Have excellent SQL query skills. Extensive experience in working with APIs and using GitHub or Bitbucket.
