Job Description

• Responsible for Internal and external communications strategy development. Responsible for embedding the compass amongst employees through a robust internal comms plan.
• Responsible for the communication of the Chairperson’s agenda to the rest of the organization
• Must work with cross functional teams and leadership across sustainable business & brands with purpose initiatives.
• Responsible for Management Committee communications & employee townhalls, Chairman’s awards, business reviews etc.
• Must have the ability to work within a global organization and localize communications for Sri Lanka for corporate brand campaigns and initiatives.
• Responsible in overseeing and allocating the annual communications budget.
• Responsible for company External Communications & PR strategy
• Responsible for all Corporate Brand and Corporate Reputation related matters
• Being the company spokesperson
• Act as an advisory role in times of crisis on the best corrective communication action which must be taken to diminish the effect the overall the impact the crisis would have on the company image and its stakeholders.
• Develop holding statements and FAQs for crises.
• Be the link between global and regional issue management teams and must Support Change Communications

Job Profile

• Communications generalist, with an all-round working knowledge of the various disciplines of communications such as media relations, social media, issues management and employee engagement
• Experience in leadership communications and channels management, preferably in a global, business to consumer role
• Must be a strategic planner and thinker.
• Must possess excellent business acumen.
• Excellent Bias for Action, shows accountability and responsibility and has a ‘can do’ attitude
• Cultural sensitivity and resilience
• Deep rooted desire for outstanding & flawless delivery
