INTRODUCTION TO THE GROUP
Lassana Group is a diversified rapidly growing corporate entity which has ventured
into ecommerce, retailing, event planning, weddings, floriculture and agriculture business.
The group has ambitious plans to expand its operations to the South Asian region
while the export process is in progress.
The group is seeking for an innovative, dynamic and energetic finance specialist with
a deep desire to take challenges and to make a difference. In this role, you will
manage the broad spectrum of financial and management accounting services and
operational aspects of the organization while actively working with an extremely
talented and engaged executive team in creating a world class organization.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) develops, manages, supports and guides the
fiscal sustainability and strategy efforts of the organization, working collaboratively
across all departments to ensure that organizational priorities are funded and that
resources are utilized according to the plan.
Job Profile:
- Reporting to the Group CEO/Chairman, you will be an integral member of the senior management team and the implementer of the strategic financial plan.
- Develop and formalize robust financial control and reporting systems while developing a dynamic finance team to support the growth of the business.
- Overall responsibility for corporate governance including external audit and regulatory compliances.
- Establishment and maintenance of strong internal control and risk management systems.
- Responsibility for financial statements and management reporting, ensuring that these are of the highest standards.
- The CFO will clearly and articulately convey financial performance, budgets, and other key financial information through reports and presentations to the Group CEO/Chairman, board of directors, the executive team, and other key stakeholders as necessary.
- Leadership of M & A activity including opportunity analysis, decision support.
- Extensive financial planning and analysis. Budget setting, cost management and forecasting.
- Treasury, cash flow and balance sheet management.
- Credit management and oversee tax strategy.
Requirements:
- Member of ICA and CIMA preferably with bachelor’s degree in finance.
- 5 years’ experience post qualification in a similar capacity.
- Experience in high growth businesses with different functional divisions would be advantageous.
- Balanced, rounded experience across all areas of finance, including financial reporting and commercial financial leadership.
- Track record of developing talent and creating environments of capable, proactive and adaptable teams.
- Experience in successfully implementing effective growth and optimization strategies.
- Experience in developing financial strategies and contributing to the broader commercial development of a business.
- Highly commercial, with proven experience of adding value to a business.
- A credible, trusted advisor to the group CEO/Chairman and the executive team, who can support and challenge.
