POST OF ASSOCIATE MANAGER- ENGINEERING
JOB ROLE
- Identify potential Process Improvement opportunities, innovative solutions and implement them in project basis
- Having good relationship with Process Engineers/Chemists of global plants and help them during process problem solving.
- Drive, support for the special process development projects
- Drive, support for the process innovation projects
- Develop solutions for eradicate process issues and improve the process, collaborating with plant operation teams and colleagues
- Conduct trials and find out best/optimum set of parameters sets for production process, through DOE methods
- Transfer the expertism gain through process experience, to all colleagues and the process team members in all manufacturing plants
- Ability to handle multiple process activities/issues and projects and switch quickly and comfortably between them
- Work effectively with other team members and maintain positive morale and sense of teamwork
- Work closely all other functional departments, in order to achieve the defined and intended targets
- Liaise with outside contractors and other parties when necessary to provide services.
- Higher mobility to travel other Ansell plants & business premises (Local & foreign) when required.
- Timely completion of allocated Projects.
- Complying with Ansell EHS, Quality, CSR and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the communication with Lanka plant and other plants process and engineering team effectively
KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- BSc. Degree in Chemical Engineer, Chemistry from a recognized university
Job Experience
- Minimum 10 years, experience in Glove manufacturing and Process controlling
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to understand the different glove manufacturing process designs and provide inputs, while designing new processes in all plants.
- Understanding the process issue, with the theorical backgrounds.
- Ability to provide innovative solutions, during the critical process issues.
- Capability of providing training (on the job / classroom) for the process engineers / chemists in all plants
- Willingness and legal ability to travel and work in the other Ansell sites.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present, process related details, to senior officials.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
- Analytical skill (Six sigma methodology)
Desirable Job Competencies
- Good communications skills including proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Excel, Minitab and other software, using in process control
Additional Requirements
- Travel will be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or carrying out projects in plants. Estimate 40% of travels including local travels
