GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position’s mainly responsible for planning, management, maintenance, repairing and purchasing of equipment to ensure equipment high efficiently running and stable production and supporting process and Product Development, Continuous Improvement efforts with regards to Overall manufacturing process at the plant. The position further required to actively involved in the projects and ensure successful completion of within the stipulated timeline.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Be responsible for rolling out asset care management program in the plant by implementation of Preventive, Autonomous and Predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Maintain repair & maintenance expense at a minimum level and achieve year on year improvement of the same.
  • Rollout Energy management program in the plant and keep all plant energy indexes intact.
  • Prepare annual Capex budget and implement on time in full.
  • Implement strategies to achieve organisational sustainability KPI’s in terms of GHG emission reduction, water consumption reduction and solid waste reduction.
  • Analysis and modification for equipment to improve productivity and quality.
  • Co-ordinate to build and develop continuous improvement management system.
  • Co-ordinate the modification and upgrade for all the equipment, research for the possibility of introduction for new equipment.
  • Maintain all utility equipment in optimum working order to achieve zero downtime on Engineering services.
  • Implement strategies on Engineering spare parts management to keep inventory cost at an optimum level.
  • Forecast monthly expenses and monitor the achievement regularly.
  • Good Safety and risk management awareness.

Compliance with EHS standards.

  • Maintain compliance with all internal and external EHS rules, regulations and other Risk Management requirements.
  • Actively use the safety calendar (or contribute to the activities prescribed in the supervisor’s/manager’s calendar) as an accountability tool to measure safety performance and to promote the development of an EHS culture.
  • Follow the requirements of the 5-point safety charter

Compliance with QMS system

  • Ensure that processes are delivering their intended outputs with complying to the ATL-QMS & responsible to implement, maintain & continuous development in relevant processes in accordance with ATL-QMS.

 Communication

  • Make sure all your subordinates are aware of the plans targets and their dates of accomplishments.
  • Give a feed back to teams through effective communication methods
  • Keep higher management up dated with the progress of achievements of planned targets and any deviations revisions of same continuously.

KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Bachler Degree in Engineering specialised in one of the streams of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronic
  • Additional qualification on Financial Management or Project Management is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma or Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification is preferred

Job Experience

  • 5+ years working experience in a Manufacturing environment, preferably working with Textiles Industry
  • Hands on experience in problem solving, root cause analysing & validation tools (FMEA, C&E matrix, Hypothesis analysis, Regression analysis etc.)
  • Knowledge & experience on IIOT applications

Knowledge and Skills

  • Very good communication skills
  • Sound knowledge in basic Engineering processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Ability to communicate across all levels internally/externally
  • Lean & TPM applications

Desirable Job Competencies

  • Identifying the key process drives in equipment maintenance process
  • Problem solving ability
  • Ability to identify the plant key cost drivers in Repair & Maintenance process 
  • Ability to identify the wastes and drive remedial projects on waste
  • Ability to incorporate new technologies used in other areas of the market in our factories
  • Project management
  • Familiar with AutoCAD
