Responsibilities
The role involves being part of managing the stewarding operation and will include key responsibilities such as
As an Assistant Stewarding Manager, you are responsible for taking Shangri-La brand to new luxury markets to make Colombo’s newest dining destination the city’s social hotspot.
assist the Chief Steward by overseeing the effectiveness and efficiency of operation of the stewarding department.
oversee the supervision of cleaning process, stock control and maintenance of health, safety and hygiene in all areas.
organize, coordinate and control the stewarding department activities and equipment in accordance with the standards, policies and performance guidelines established by the hotel.
work closely with HODs to facilitate excellent communication and ensuring quality standards in all areas.
ensure proper use and cleaning of equipment in order to prolong the use and prevent damage.
ensure that the premises are clean at all times which contributes to our environmental policy.
maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards guest and colleagues during contact.

possess hands on experience in stewarding with an attitude to deliver.
