Responsibilities
As the Accountant you will be responsible for the following reporting functions and to provide on time & accurate information to help management in making business decisions and to lead the annual budgeting process, work with cross functional teams to drive business results and manage working capital effectively.

  •  Work with the SAP system used by the client’s mother company and extract necessary information for the purpose of local Accounting. 
  • Creating and setting up the SAGE system for the purpose of local Accounting ledger books. 
  • Raising of POs, Campaign Creation, Budget Transfer for all Marketing (DME), Sales Operations (DFR) & Opex activities and release payments upon checking. 
  • Raise Purchase Requisition, obtain approvals from Business Unit - Supply Chain team based in India, raise POs and ensure execution of timely and quality jobs. 
  • Execute all new Vendor Opening process with collection of documents, filling up of vendor formats, Online application through internal software for re-activation of dormant vendors sending to BU office in India, Finance for creation/ reactivation and extension of Vendor codes. 
  • Reporting and Coordinating between internal auditors and perform inventory reconciliation process. 
  • Handle and manage all petty cash expenses for the office including vouching and pre-approvals. 
  • Reporting and coordinating Inter-Company reconciliations with the relevant teams in the head office. 
  • Assist the external auditors in the annual statutory audit process.

 
Qualification 

  • Member of CA Sri Lanka or ACCA 
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the field of financial reporting preferably in BPO sector  should include 1 year of experience in the capacity of Managerial grade Experience in SAP and SAGE will be an added advantage 
  • Age must not be more than 40 years
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player 
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
