In 2001, Asian Paints launched The Colour World - a revolutionary concept in the retail paint industry with a total of over thousand unique shades along with ready-to-use combinations. Other notable strides made were the introduction of Apex Ultima offering a 7 year performance warranty in 2006. The Royale Luxury Emulsion with "stain resistance (Teflon Technology)" came into being in 2007.In 2009, Asian Paints came out with Royale Play, the special effects paint for interior walls.In 2015, the company introduced the revolutionary Smartcare range of water proofing product. In 2016, Asian Paints introduced Apcolite Premium Emulsion the Best Single Coat Hiding product with HFT Technology (High Film Thickness) which caters to the re-painting segment.
